Tuesday 19th August 2014 was a milestone moment for newborn care in Vietnam. 26 nurses from the neonatal unit at Da Nang Hospital for Women & Children became the first nurses in Viet Nam to receive a formal British certificate in neonatal nursing. It was a wonderful moment, very emotional and more than a few tears.
We can already see the benefits of the training for the babies and mortality has reduced by a further 1%. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of our donors and our cyclist’s 2013 & 2014 epic rides across Vietnam we have achieved our first big goal.
