MAPEI sponsors Aedas rider
MAPEI is a global company and a word leader in the production of adhesives with 68 subsidiaries and 60 manufacturing plants in 29 countries, see http://www.mapei.com/GB-EN/. As a global operator we understand the challenges developing countries face in providing health care and in particular improving the health outcomes for mothers and newborns. We are very pleased to sponsor Marcus Wilkins of Aedas to participate in Cycle a Difference. The ride is raising funds to support Newborns Vietnam’s partnership with Da Nang Department of Health to reduce newborn deaths and train nurses. We are delighted to support this initiative as our MAPEI Vietnam manufacturing plant is based in Quang Nam province which is one of seven provinces that will benefit from the advancement of newborn care. All sick newborns (less than 29 days) from Quang Nam are cared for in the neonatal intensive care unit at the Da Nang Hospital for Women & Children. This is a fantastic opportunity for MAPEI to help improve newborn care for the families of our local employees and 4 million families in the project’s overall catchment area.
The MAPEI Quang Nam managers and staff will be cheering Marcus on as he rides for the finish line in Da Nang. Not quite go ‘Wiggo’ go, but a MAPEI yellow jersey will be waiting for him!
